Emir Aktunç, known as Max, was born in 1993 in Antalya and is based in Istanbul. He studied Industrial Product Design at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and entered the street art scene in 2014. Since then, he has created mural projects across Turkey and abroad, developing a distinctive visual language rooted in both design and fine art. His practice explores the relationship between human-made environments and the organic forms of nature, revealing how the two coexist and influence one another. Max approaches his work as a way to design experiences rather than produce static images. His murals often weave animals, plants and natural elements into architectural surfaces, transforming familiar spaces into poetic reflections of life in the city. Combining painterly layers, textures and subtle symbolism, he draws attention to the quiet connections between the urban and the natural world. Through vibrant colors and intricate compositions, Max creates moments of stillness within the fast rhythm of city life. His works serve as gentle reminders of resilience, balance and the enduring presence of nature within the built environment.
