In the case of the domino sparrow, I have dealt with the unfortunate event of the union of human and animal. On this wall, I focus on the peaceful bond between one animal and another. Unlike humans, they seem to have found a nice way to live together.

“Living Together”

While designing this mural, I took a story from the city as a reference. The sparrow was killed by an exterminator with an air rifle on Monday after it knocked down 23,000 dominoes. The killing was seen by many as an overreaction, and angered animal rights and bird protection groups.

This was my first large scale mural. The stylized ram figure was imagined as merging with the surrounding trees and plants, creating a composition where nature and form coexist as one.

Part of the first Mural Istanbul Festival selection in Sarıyer, this work marks my second large scale mural. The design focuses on Abyssinian cats, curious creatures with large ears, captured in a fleeting moment of togetherness.

In the city of Ordu, it was once a tradition for young girls to play the accordion during local celebrations. As time passed, this custom gradually faded away. This mural was designed in memory of those days, as a tribute to the traditions and stories that once filled the streets with music.

Children playing the zurna are positioned along the Black Sea coast, paying homage to the region’s distinctive sounds and instruments. The younger child is still learning, while the older one seems lost in the music.

Sinop Mural Festival

The Beşiktaş district is strongly associated with the Beşiktaş football team and its devoted supporters. The area is home to numerous eagle statues and has long been seen as the nest of its fans. Drawing on this symbolism, I chose to reinterpret the eagle motif by depicting a different species, focusing purely on the bird itself. Rather than repeating the familiar imagery of the team’s emblem, I sought to create an alternative vision where a group of eagles appears united in pursuit of a hunt.

Beyond walls, vehicles such as trucks, cars, and caravans offer exciting surfaces for painting. This was my first vehicle painting. The design was inspired by the power and weight of the rhinoceros, and it was executed to reflect these qualities.

I've always loved fig trees and their scent, but I haven't come across them much in Kalamis.
You can sit on it, walk around and enjoy.

This mural is designed to reflect sunlight on water, shimmering sea surfaces, and the flow of traffic, movements that seem different yet share the same rhythm.
As for the duo floating in the water, they’re the inseparable pair that appears on Kalamış shore in the late afternoon. We don’t complain that they swim in the sea. On the contrary, we embrace them and consider them part of our lives.
May the mindset that believes everything and everyone can be controlled be cursed, always and everywhere.

A simple and rhythmic abstraction of the sky, the sunset, and all the seagulls I have observed.

''Laridae'' // Etiler

I would like to share a spot that has caught my eye for a long time. I chose a composition made up of tree trunks, branches, and bird moments, which I photographed from the surrounding areas. I enjoy creating paintings that are related to what I see and experience, expressing them in a layered way.
It is very important to me that the place where I paint holds personal meaning, rather than just being in the most visible location. You can explore the mural I painted and its surroundings through the photos.

''Enchantment of the Night''

Created for the Crossroads Digital 1st Edition Exhibition, this mural reflects on the layered coexistence of life and decay within the urban landscape. Inspired by Central Asian rock carvings and the rhythm of city life, it brings together street animals, traffic lights, poles, and electric wires that become a playground for birds. Beneath these living forms, subtle rib bones appear, quietly evoking the presence of death beneath the surface of the city.

Although executed on paper, I prefer to categorize this work as a mural due to its scale and final presentation. Night Shift was created over a three-day live painting performance in the exhibition space on the middle floor of Bina in Kadıköy. Its layered composition blends imagery from ancient art with contemporary forms, intertwining past and present in a dynamic visual narrative.

In this mural I wanted to blur the line between what I see and what I draw. Birds are resting on the vibrations of the sea while a heron claims its prey with a snake between its beak. Shades of red cut through the scene as waves and sun reflections quietly wash over everything, soft yet relentless.

The piece was created as a live painting performance over two days, reflecting both the calmness of nature and the elegance of traditional Japanese aesthetics.
